Scope and Contents

Scientific journal of Sir Charles Lyell, covers subjects such as creation of species - and thoughts on the evolution of man. Lyell refers to others such as Darwin, Hooker, Wollaston and topics such as the glacial epoch, rudimentary organs, volcanoes, Madeira, molluscs, fossil faunas, Australian fauna, Niagara, coal and New Zealand. Lyell provides his own index. Some writing is by Mary Lyell.
